“With great power comes great responsibility…”

TSOGO SUN GAMING is quietly passionate about leaving footprints in the communities that we serve. While we understand and appreciate our status as one of the forerunners in the gaming and entertainment industry, we are completely committed to leaving lasting changes in each community in which we reside.

Tsogo Sun Gaming has identified various initiatives to which it remains deeply committed:

1. The HIV/AIDS epidemic – with a special focus on children that have been affected or infected with HIV or AIDS. This includes poverty alleviation and wellness programmes related to the disease.
2. Registered child-focussed charities representing a children's village, shelter, orphanage or home, which ideally house between 10 and 20 children.
3. Key initiatives that focus on providing support to the children with regards to education, clothing and food.
4. The "Adopt a Child" programme where Tsogo Sun Gaming partners with other companies to provide financial and emotional support. Three initiatives are implemented each year, and Tsogo Sun tracks the progress of each child and monitors how further assistance can be provided to ensure that the child reaches their full potential.

Something that is unique to our CSI strategy is that our core social responsibility ethos has been implemented at property level. All of our properties have been tasked with selecting and driving the various charity initiatives of their choice. As a result, the surrounding communities have been championed and supported by the properties themselves, and the impact has been astounding.

Our core aim is to give people a better chance at making the most of their lives by giving them a foothold to earn a living. We aim to leave each community better off than before – a goal that forms the basis of our ongoing vision and tireless commitment.
