HR PHILOSOPHY
TSOGO SUN GAMING have also introduced a number of initiatives that go above and beyond those offered by other corporates around the country. |

These include:
- A Bursary Scheme: Employees within specific income categories can apply for assistance to educate their children through a HCI bursary scheme. The scheme awards bursaries to first year students and funds them for subsequent years as long as they pass. Support and counselling is also offered to the students.
- Our Positive Living initiative: This program takes a very pragmatic approach to health issues, addressing those that have the greatest impact on Tsogo Sun's business, for example HIV/AIDS, stress and respiratory infections, amongst others. Not only are staff educated in the identification and prevention of health issues, but they are also provided with:
- Employee assistance centres, providing primary healthcare, dispensing, a doctor and nurse, specialist visits, paramedics and health screening and monitoring;
- The SAFAM (Safety and First Aid Management) helpline, offering counseling, legal and financial assistance;
- Paramedics, for guests, staff, emergencies and transfers;
- The HIV/AIDS Programme is provided by SAFAM and Discovery Health.
- Complementary services, such as nutritionally balanced canteen food, general hygiene, professional visits, training, internal communication, nutritional advice and stress management;
- Executive Health Management Programme;
- Health & safety committee and performance related risk.
Within our seven properties, we have many stories of champions who have taken the opportunity to excel in their environments, using the training and development provided in their workplace.
